A note from the artist:
The elders in my home community have a saying, "all Hopis are artists". For as long as I can remember I have always enjoyed drawing as a kid, which later turned into painting as a teen, and even dabbling in pottery for a while. I was born with a condition called Oculocutaneous Albinism, which also affects my vision. I am classified as legally blind, but have not let it stop me from pursuing what I love to do!
All work is inspired from my cultural upbringing with a modern touch of design and color. Various symbols on my work may represent any form of nature.This piece represents the wind that exists in nature and in our breath.
